American Fork Canyon in the camping box
August 2011
Don't judge that it's October next week and I am posting about August here (and can't really remember what we did in Aug). I think the term "lazy days of summer" is to blame here. And yet, we haven't been too busy with anything in paticular. My house is actually a mess right now. But I am choosing to post my thoughts here instead of clean my toilets...can you blame me?
From what I can remember...
We celebrated the anniversary of our engagement, went to Jordyn's baptism, bought the camping box, went to some K-9 demonstrations with Steve, ran in the K-9 2K (came in 4th place...boo yeah!), went swimming with the dogs, went up to Mountair, went to Snowbird, and just enjoyed summer time.
We got some pretty killer deals on some back to school deals for the art box. Katy has thought many times that it's a great idea to practice her clown makeup. Steve curses me for not getting the washable kind of markers. Hey, they weren't 40 cents like the "regular" markers were! I think she looks pretty, she will be great at applying lipstick I'm sure of it.
Went "swimming with the dogs", not really....no humans allowed in the water. This was a fund raiser for the West Valley animal shelter. Let me tell you it was crazy. They wanted Steve to come with Colt, which meant Chuck got to join in on the fun too.
Katy was quite upset that she, herself, could not go swimming. She was better when she could put her feet in, although one of the lifeguards told her to get out of the water! Ha, she was not so happy then.
Steve just kept chucking Chuck (ha, no pun intended) into the water. When he'd pick him up Chuck would start paddeling his paws even before he was in the water. Because of the drop off we had to pluck him out of the water. Colt jumped in just fine. I think they both had a good time!
We went with Jon and Michelle up to the cabin at mountair. This was my best shot....I was too pre-occupied with the smores! We had a good time....great family night activity if you ask me! Thanks again!
August was a great month....I can already tell you September has been a great month, but more on that in a week!
