It's sobering to think that ever flag here represents someone who passed away during 9.11. How do you teach your child that? How do you teach your kids that there are awful people in the world willing to do awful things? They don't really get it....but I am doing my best to help them remember.
It's weird to think that I was a freshman in college that day. Now I share it with them.
I am so proud of the freedoms we enjoy in this country, we are so blessed...and I will tell them every day how lucky we are to have that!
