.birthay boy.

The big Stevo turned 26 on September 18!!!! Wow we are so young, and yet so old. Steve is one step closer to being the big 3, 0! As you know in the Beardshall family we celebrate birthdays as national holiday. So Sunday before Steve's actual birthday we had the fam over for cake and ice cream. Now it was Steve's request that he got a cake from Cold Stone. Wow, this suggestion comes highly recommended, it was great. We got a white cake with whip cream frosting and cake batter ice cream! Great combo Steve!!! I am so proud of you and all your accomplishments. You are the best husband in the world and I love you!!!! Hope you had a great Birthday!

So last year I decided to start a tradition. I love making breakfast in the canyon, and I love the fall season. So what better excuse to go the canyon in the fall to cook breakfast than to celebrate Steve’s Birthday? So exciting. Last year we went up the fam but decided it would be fun to do it with the friends since we had cake and ice cream with them the weekend before. Unfortunately it was a busy weekend for most but Jon, Michelle and Abbey Jane were able to come. Don’t worry I burnt the hash browns, but Jon saved us all and made us great eggs. We weren’t planning on going on a hike but Jon and Michelle asked us to go and of course I can’t pass up a good hike. Chuck sure liked it! The funniest thing is the fact that Abbey Jane went off road in her stroller, which had to be picked up and moved out the way for all the bikers every 5 minutes!!! We made it and the colors were starting to look amazing!

So I had a little bit of a cooking accident, and no I am not "flipping" off the camera. It all actually started on Steve's Birthday. Steve had a long day at work and only had about 20 minutes to come home and grab dinner. I asked him what he wanted that would be fast and he said that Ramen noodles sounded good. No problem, I can whip that up. So I did and thinking that I was saving time I decided to pour the soup (right off the burner, boiling hot!!!) right into the bowl which I was holding. Lets just say that it was all down hill from there. I proceded to drop the bowl and the Ramen all over the kitchen and started bawling!!!! As I looked at my finger it looked as though the skin was melting off my finger. Yea I know, gross! After going to the Doctor I found that I had received 1st and 3rd degree burns to my hand. They had to remove most of the skin from my birdie finger. I had to miss two days of work and was on Lorotab (spell check?) and was throwing up most of the time, especially when I had to change the dressing. Lets just say that I didn't have the right frame of mind to take a really great picture.....Sorry Brit! Any who, its been about 2 weeks and my skin is almost back to normal, not much of a scar either. Great for me. Just sorry it had to happen on Steve's Birthday, Sorry Luvie!

.logan canyon trip.

Who wouldn’t jump at a chance for a weekend trip? We went up to Logan Canyon with the Barker family. The funny thing is that we went on the same exact trip and camped in the same exact spot 4 years ago before Steve and I were married! Crazy I know. Steve and I weren’t able to go up until later, we thought we would get there at about 10 pm but didn’t get there until midnight! Thanks to my side seat driving we passed the campsite because I was sure that we had farther to go.
Another thing that made me laugh was Glen! Don’t ask! Okay I can’t resist. When we got up in the morning there was this kid eating breakfast with us. I had no idea who this was and awaited an introduction by Britney. The only introduction I got is “Amy this is Glen”. Who the? Come to find out he is just a kid that camped next to us all his brothers and sisters were about 15 years older than him and he had fun playing with Gage and TJ, although I am almost convinced that the only reason why is so he could ride their 3 wheelers. All I can do to describe this family is telling you that his dad reminded me, spot on, of the family in the National Lampoon Vacation movies. You know the brother? What was his name, Glen wasn’t much better but we had a fun time laughing about it later.

Oh by the way our trailer broke right as we were leaving. Good thing Josh and his dad were there to "rig up" the situation. We made it back to Perry where Josh's dad Darell welded it back together to get us home. Wow thanks! I'm happy to say that we made it home.

.family home evening.

We have actually been able to have FHE ever since I have been out of school. We try to do something outdoorsy, seeing that we will be seeing snow here soon! We also always try to read the lesson for the upcoming Sunday school class. This particular night we went to the Riverton City Park and had a BBQ. You would think that going on his mission to Texas you would have no problems with the grill. I am almost certain that this is the case with Steve except for the fact that these grills were ghetto! It took us a bit longer to cook them than we had anticipated but man were they good! I tell you what, that Stubbs BBQ marinade is the best you should try it. We went on a hike the other week and we are still trying to cook up a Jordan River Parkway ride and we also want to try to rent a canoe and take it down as well. That could be scary we could get Guardia!
