Peanuts!

Does anyone feel like Katy's cast was on FOREVER? Well it really wasn't, and if I'm being quite frank with you....was not a horrible experience. Mind you I am terribly behind in my blogging because the thing actually came off on the 26th of July to mixed reviews. When it was re-xrayed it was found that the fracture was not fully healed. Our doctor felt that it was healed enough to not recast it, but did warn us that if she was not walking on it in a day or two to call him.

If you think getting that thing on was an adventure, you would imagine that getting it off would have been more of the same. Surprisingly it was pretty uneventful. I was told prior to the appointment that it usually scares kids, which I fully expected. She didnt care at all. She actually didn't like getting xrayed again but was fine over all. We had another great tech that laid Katy's Mickey Pez dispenser down next to her leg, which helped. When we looked at the xrays all you could see was the spring inside him. The doctor told Katy were Mickey bones. She thought that was SO cool to see!

She didn't walk on it for a few hours and screeched when we made her, which scared me. But by the end of the night she was on her way. ***Please note that Katy just barley stopped limping!***

We celebrated by going to the Bee's game with some of the gang. Rachel hooked us up with free tickets. Her and Davis ran the 24th of July 10K and collected some free coupons for all of us. It was also a great time to soak in the Deeds before they headed back to Washington! Can't wait to see you at Christmas. Thanks for the great time!

No peanuts here!

Even though I am not a fan of the dog, it's a must at a game!
Rachel is proudly showing her's off here!

Cute Tommy, he brought a pair for Katy too! Too cool!
